LEECH LAKE INDIAN RESERVATION – Eagle staffs and American Indian Movement (AIM) flags were present as the body of Dennis Banks, the co-founder of the movement, was carried by pallbearers to the final resting place of the great American Indian warrior on Saturday afternoon.

They were present just as they had been in the several Longest Walks, Banks led across America.

Banks began his journey to the spirit world last Sunday. He passed away from complications from open heart surgery he underwent at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota on October 18, 2017.
